Great for ages 3-7!

Exposure to artificial light later in the evening results in throwing off our body's sleep hormones in turn making it difficult for the body to fall asleep naturally. Your kiddo having homework to do later in the night makes this more problematic than ever.
With the increased exposure to screen time, headaches are reportedly on the rise and doctors are having to answer that call. Some are prescribing medication while others flat out suggest getting rid of the screen time. With remote learning, this makes things a lose-lose situation.
REDUCED EYE STRAIN
Blue light and screen time are sources of eye strain. While using the 20-20-20 rule to take breaks, we acknowledge that sometimes that isn't possible. With remote learning and class time being mandatory, a break sometimes just isn't possible. Parents are struggling with this. And we want to help.

What's your lifetime warranty about?
Being a retailer primarily for children presents challenges. Specifically, we know that kids will be using these, perhaps more rough than other products day-to-day, and thus, we want to make sure you can rest assured, and not be worried, about your investment being simply broken by your kiddo. Each pair, although created with a very durable child-safe silicone-type plastic, we back them with a warranty in the event of damage/break and even theft.
How do I know which size to pick?
We provide age recommendations on all pairs, but also provide you with sizing on the product page for the specific pair.
Do you allow returns?
Yes, we have a flexible 14-day return policy on unused items. In some circumstances, we retain discretion to modify this policy on behalf of the customer.
"The pair I ordered doesn't fit, what can I do?"
Just email us, and we will, at no extra cost to you, send you a pair that will fit! We want you to have the best experience with us, and its really that easy.
"I don't know what size or pair to pick!"
Click the "Ask A Stylist" button on the bottom menu and answer a few questions, and our reps will reach out to you with a personalized selection!
"These seem expensive, I see people selling them for $20 and below!"
While we can't speak to how other companies choose to do business, there are a number of retailers who ship to the customer directly from foreign countries like China, Vietnam, and Thailand without even inspecting the item you're being sent. They also don't even inform you that they're doing this, until you receive a ratty package from a country that's not USA. Since the boom of remote learning, we've noticed this more and more. And while you may find blue light blockers for your kiddo somewhere else cheaper, we pride ourselves on quality, service, and providing you with a product, we ourselves inspect, and even design ourselves.
Why is blue light a problem?
When the human eye is exposed to the white light mixture, the different types of light tend to balance each other out and reduce the negative impacts on the body. Once we begin to isolate out different colors, we maximize the negative impact of those light waves. With blue light, those negative impacts can vary based on the period of direct contact. This means that the result can be a range of problems from visual fatigue after a short period of use to tension headaches and even decreased melatonin secretion resulting in the disruption of healthy sleep patterns.
In an article published by Web MD, director of sleep medicine at Harvard Medical School, Charles Czeisler, PhD, MD stated, "The more research we do, the more evidence we have that excess artificial light at night can have a profound, deleterious effect on many aspects of human health. It is a growing public health concern."
Does blue light impact my child?
Unfortunately, yes. Imagine how you feel after a long workday staring at a computer screen. Your shoulders are tense, you're tired, and your eyes feel strained, making it difficult to focus. Children experience the same physical responses from over-exposure to blue light. The only difference is that they may not realize that there is an association between their discomfort and their device use. Even if they do understand the correlation, many children and teenagers are hesitant to face the social backlash from their peers for being "uncool" or lack the impulse control to restrict their device use.
Short of taking my child's devices away, how can I avoid the problems associated with blue light?
There are several devices available to filter the blue light and make the time your child spends on their devices safer. The problem with most of them is that you need to have a separate filter for each device that your child uses. The cost adds up and can quickly become cost prohibitive. This is where Blue Light Kids glasses are an industry game changer.
With one reasonably-priced purchase per child, you can help limit the effects of blue light from all of their devices without having to force your child to put their devices down. As an added bonus, Blue Light Kids FunFlex glasses can even be used for reducing exposure during television and movie viewing.
